PRIVACY POLICY — DUTY CALLS SEPTIC

Last updated: September 10, 2026

Duty Calls Septic ("Duty Calls Septic," "we," "us," or "our") operates dutycallseptic.comand provides septic pumping, inspection, and repair services throughout Bristol, Elkhart, Goshen, Lagrange, Ligonier, Middlebury, Milford, Millersburg, Nappanee, New Paris, Shipshewana, Syracuse, Topeka, and Wakarusa, Indiana. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or become a customer, how we use it, and how you can reach us with questions.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you request a quote, book service, or otherwise contact us — whether through our website's contact/quote form, by phone, or by email — we may collect:

  • Your name

  • Service address and, if different, billing address

  • Phone number

  • Email address

  • Details about the service you're requesting (for example, tank size, system age, or the issue you're experiencing)

  • Payment information when you pay for service (see Payment Processing below — we do not store your full card number)

If you simply browse our website, our site may also automatically collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, typically through standard analytics tools.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide quotes, schedule appointments, and perform septic services

  • Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and service-related updates

  • Invoice you and process payment

  • Respond to questions or service issues

  • Maintain accurate service records (for example, pump-out history for your system)

  • Improve our website and services

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to running Duty Calls Septic.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed to provide our services to you:

  • Jobber — the scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and customer management software we use to run our business. Jobber stores your contact information, service address, and job history on our behalf.

  • Stripe / Jobber Payments — the payment processor used to handle credit and debit card transactions through Jobber. Your card details are entered directly into their secure system; we never see or store your full card number.

  • QuickBooks — used for our bookkeeping and accounting records.

  • Quo — our business phone system, which we use to answer, route, and record calls (see Phone Calls and Call Recording below).

These providers only use your information to perform services for us and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing purposes. We do not share your information with any other third party except when required by law (for example, in response to a valid legal request).

PHONE CALLS, TEXT MESSAGES, AND CALL RECORDINGS

If you provide us with your phone number, we may contact you by phone or text message regarding your appointment — for example, confirmations, arrival-time updates, or reminders. By providing your number when booking service, you consent to receive these service-related communications. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or by calling us at 574-574-DUTY (574-574-3889).

Calls to and from Duty Calls Septic are handled through Quo, our business phone system, and may be recorded for quality assurance, training, and record-keeping purposes (for example, confirming what was discussed about your service). Indiana is a "one-party consent" state, meaning a call may lawfully be recorded as long as one participant in the call (in this case, us) consents — but we're noting it here so you're aware. If you'd prefer your call not be recorded, let us know at the start of the call and we'll accommodate that where possible.

COOKIES AND WEBSITE ANALYTICS

Our website may use cookies and similar tools (through our website platform, Wix) to understand how visitors use our site and to keep it running properly. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how parts of the website function.

HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION

We retain customer and job information for as long as needed to provide service, maintain accurate records for your septic system, meet our bookkeeping and tax obligations, and comply with applicable law.

YOUR CHOICES

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what information we have on file for you

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Delete your information, subject to what we're required to keep for legal, tax, or record-keeping purposes

To make a request, contact us using the information below.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our website and services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

CHANGE TO LIST POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
